There is a large population of wild turkeys in Citrus Heights, California, including several albinos or very white birds. Late winter and early spring, they put on a real show with the males ("Toms" or "gobblers") strutting and rustling their feather. Juveniles and chicks follow their mothers around for several months duiring spring and early summer.
